How to uninstall Norton AntiVirus?
Before you begin:
Manual uninstallation should be tried only if all other methods fail.
Uninstall Norton by using the Control Panel. If you cannot uninstall in the recommended ways, then you can use the ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe removal utility.

To uninstall Norton AntiVirus by using the Rnav2003.exe removal utility
- Only use this if you cannot uninstall Norton AntiVirus through Add/Remove Programs. Uninstalling Norton AntiVirus through Windows does a more thorough job of removing the program.
- Follow the instructions in How to uninstall Norton AntiVirus using the Rnav2003.exe removal utility to download and run the Rnav2003.exe removal utility. The Rnav2003.exe removal utility is attached under step 1 in the “To download and run Rnav2003.exe” section of that document.
- Rnav2003.exe cannot remove NAV if it is installed as a part of Norton SystemWorks or Norton Internet Security. If Norton AntiVirus was installed as part of:
Norton SystemWorks: Uninstall Norton SystemWorks first, then run the Rnav2003.exe removal utility.
Norton Internet Security: Uninstall Norton Internet Security first, then run the Rnav2003.exe removal utility.
To uninstall Norton AntiVirus manually
If you cannot uninstall Norton AntiVirus using the previous methods, then you must uninstall Norton AntiVirus manually. See “To uninstall Norton AntiVirus manually” in References for the document for your product.
